About us

We are Rob and Kayla Ewing and we make up the Ewing Collective. We planned our own wedding in two months and we figured that we’ve learned a thing or two in our seven years of marriage that we can help young couples plan for the most important day of their lives.

Our philosophy is to make custom films and events for our clients and to remove all the stress and hassle typically associated with them. We want your wedding to be unforgettable and perfect.

We limit our clients that we work with each year so that we know that we are personally in charge of every detail and that by the end of the night, we will be the closest of friends.

What we believe

We believe that cookie cutters are for cookies, not weddings and you will never find us using a template for anything that we do. Rob prefers to film handheld, replicating the feeling of the day, not directing it like a film. This allows us to film the authentic moments as they occur and to not interfere with the most important day of your lives.

We love lens flares, film grain, warm tones, and the feeling that a Voigtlander lens gives you in your hand. We don’t need gimmicky transitions to tell your story and we try to connect multiple times prior to your day to make sure we know what is important to you.

Kayla doesn’t like having details fall through the cracks and works diligently to answer questions as they arise and to have answers for anything that could go wrong on the day of. You will not know she is there, but you will notice everything somehow go right. That’s how it should be.
